A warm and inclusive welcome to ROOMY.

a11y = ROOMY for all

We take accessibility (a11y) seriously. This page describes the steps we’re taking to meet the recommendations stated in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act 1998.

Steps being taken

We want the website to be enjoyed by everyone so we've set our sights on meeting the AA level of accessibility as defined by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.

The WCAG documents explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Web “content” generally refers to the information in a web page or web application, including:

  • natural information such as text, images, and sounds
  • code or markup that defines structure, presentation, etc.

Our progress

We’re continually working on the ROOMY website to achieve our goal. Every time we design a feature or update to an existing one, we consider the impact of the WCAG. Our developers have extensive accessibility experience and regulary conduct testing using NVDA and/or JAWs software. They also test using VoiceOver on a Mac computer.

Statement of exclusion

We also work with and use the technology of certain 3rd party vendors. While we select our vendors carefully, unfortunately we can’t guarantee that they are as committed to the WCAG as we are. We do however strongly encourage our partners to provide content that is accessible and user friendly.

Areas of the site out of our control include:

  • Calendly
  • Captcha/Recaptcha
  • Crisp Live Chat
  • Google Analytics
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Hot Jar
  • Mailchimp
  • Twilio
  • WebAR (ARKit)

Our Pledge

The ROOMY team commits to regularly monitoring and updating this website to ensure accessibility for the the largest audience possible.

If you are having difficulty viewing or navigating the content on this website, or notice any feature or functionality that is inaccessible, please contact us. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests.
